How To Hide Rosacea and Redness With Makeup

www.TheCosmeticsCampus.com -Lisa Liddiard,, Internet Cosmetics Coach shares her video response to a question from Leslee who got her beauty questioned answered at ASK LISA http Leslie asks how to hide Rosacea and redness with makeup. Rosacea and redness is actually very common. More and more people are complaining of the same issues. Today in the cosmetic and skin care arena there is much to be had to fixing the problem. Using a natural skin care and cosmetic line will do wonders in improving the look and appearance of Rosacea. Chemicals and synthetic ingredients wreck havoc on skin and that is the major cause. I suggest you first check your ingredient labels and make sure you clean out and replace your skin care and make up line. Switch to a healthy skin care and makeup line. To see what I use and recommend go to www.the-cosmetics-campus.com To cover or hide the appearance of Rosacea and redness with your cosmetics here is what I teach. If you’re an artist or know ‘the color wheel’ what counteracts or hides redness is GREEN. It sounds weird, but it’s true. You can use a green powder or liquid that can be applied to the skin under your foundation. I recommend a green powder. i use derma blend pancake makeup, I went to cosmetology and esthetics school and dont use green anymore. I think that the green is good but not in cases of severe reddish purple rosacea.

I think your issue might be hormones. When hormones are off, you can get a flush, heat during the day or night anytime. It might be estrogen or thyroid. Get your hormone’s and thyroid checked and see if that might be the problem.

I do have rosacea but mine is a bit different. I may have a little redness when I’m applying the make up but when I go out I get nervous, or hot, or what ever reason my body thinks of I flush in my cheeks. I can feel the hotness of it. I don’t know what to do before or during this issue to cover it. People ask all the time if I’m ok. I use a yellow concealer yellow foundation and mineral powered all from Mary Kay. I have found that I’m less oily if I just use concealer & mineral powered.

thank you very much !! I tried it and it really works. My redness, if not disappeared totally, is really toned down.

Make sure you’re using a yellow based foundation over the top of your green concealer. The yellow based cancels out the green and you won’t be able to see it. Try that.

I do that. I put the green conceler on cheeks first, then put my foundation. But it makes my have a grey hue. And im a make up artist. I just dont get it. Every treatment I buy sucks!

Agallaghril, If you use mineral powder foundation, that is all you will need to use. If you use liquid then get a concealer for under the eyes. I like concealers in the POT that are creamy. Then finishing powder goes over the top of everything just to SET your makeup. Use just a tiny bit and blend.

hi! hanks for the video. i use foundation, then liquid concealer and then pwder? its correct order?

  11. iluvpurplii says:

i use liquid foundation and liquid concealer. so do i put the concealer on first, or foundation?
also, should i put the green concealer with my regular concealer??

  12. LisaLiddiardMakeup says:

If you use a liquid green concealer put under foundation. If you use a power concealer like I do, you can do either way, under/over or both.
