Aveeno makes a good, gentle face wash that helps some with redness; they also make a moisturizer/sunscreen with SPF15, though it's a tad pricey. Other tips from someone who knows what you're going through: avoid direct sun exposure and watch your diet. Stop consuming soft drinks and alcohol; drink only water instead. Add more omega 3's to your diet (tuna and salmon are good sources). Guess what I'm trying to say is that lifestyle changes can control rosacea for some folks, but nothing can cure it. I had a prescription for Metro-Gel; didn't help.

Metro Gel is what you need. Perhaps your GP would prescribe it for you. Good Luck!

You can ask the pharmacist for any OTC products that can help. My wife has been using a metro cream for the past three years, prescribed by her Dermatologist, they specialize in this field, which does reduce the inflammation. Unfortunately there is no cure. You should see a doctor as soon as possible. Some tips, stay away from hot stuff. She's looking into laser treatments next to shrink the blood vessels.

Cell science capillary repair is the best product I found to make redness clear up. I noticed broken capillaries around the nose, but it works for rosacea, it says, and can be ought online. Pricey but very very soothing. Try it. And I never recommend anything. I use it and it goes far.Good luck!

I have suffered with rosacea for most of my adult life, but recently I started a diet called 'The Liver Cleansing Diet', for reasons not related to rosacea. A surprising and pleasant side effect however is that the rosacea has almost disapeared, my skin now only has a healthy pink glow. I think in my case, the rosacea was definitely due to a poor diet.

You can try prosacea or eucerin redness cream but I have not had good luck with anything over the counter. Why are you waiting to see a dermatologist for treatment instead of asking your regular doc to prescribe treatment for it now? The main treatment is antibiotics and a cream called metro gel. Your regular doc can prescribe both of these.
