You should ask a dermatologist about it. They have treatments for it that will help lessen the effect.

My husband has suffered from rosacea for years now, we have tried prescriptions and every over the counter remedy we could find. The only thing that helps is cortisone, but he has to use it every single day. If he misses a day it will some times get so irritated the skin will actually ***** and bleed around his hair line, I just buy a few tubes of the dollar store brand at a time, it works just fine. The up side is he has absolutely beautiful skin and a lot less wrinkles than I do and as long as he uses his cortizone it keeps the rosacea in check. However it is a lot worse in the winter so there are days he has to use it twice a day.

    Who did the diagnosing?
Rosacea in most cases is a form of a staph infection. You might want to be referred to a dermatologist who will prescribe effective antibiotics to kill the infection.

For home care I can only suggest gentle washing with a clean face cloth and using soap and water.
The soap helps to kill the types of bacteria that cause the rosacea.
I said gentle washing, not scouring or scrubbing hard, and a gentle soap.

It is fairly important that you have your own face cloths and that they are clean. Hot water washing for them, with a bit of bleach.

    Here is a web site that is a bit more technical;

Cause of Rosacea is unknown. It is more common in people
who blush easily. It affects blush ares of face.
    Aggravating factors are—
    1. Excessive intake of alcohol, hot beverages&tobacco.
    2. Heat and sun exposure.
    3. Spicy diet.
    4. Emotional factors-nervous tension, stress, fear,anxiety etc.
    5. Changes in weather like strong winds or change in humidity
    Treatment—–
1.Oral antibiotics such as Tetracycline-repeated courses for
4 weeks at a time whenever there is recurrence.
2.Topical applications of Metrogyl gel 1%, Benzoyl peroxide
2.5 % gel, calamine lotion are effective.
    3. Topical applications of Steroids are contraindicated in
general as they temporarily clear the disease which
rebounds after steroids are stopped. Besides use of
stronger steroids topically may result in skin atrophy
(thinning), widening of tiny blood vessels of the face and t
    developement of pus containg rashes.
    4. ****** products such as soap, moisturisers and sun
screens should be free of alcohol and other irritating
    ingredients.
    5. Apply moisturisers very gently after any topical medication
    has dried.
    6. Use sun screen with an SPF of 15 or higher when going
    outdoors.
    7. Avoid Drinks like hot beverages and alcohol, smoking and
spicy food.Exposure to sun light and to extreme hot and
    cold temperatures should be limited.
